In addition; to foster a sense of beauty of material, texture, colour and design.

WHAT DO WE DO?

At most meetings the morning is predominantly a social gathering where members can sit and spin, weave, knit, crochet etc .... and chat!  This is an ideal opportunity for learning from others and sharing ideas and expertise.

The Sales Table is available for members to buy or sell items (usually, but not always, crafts-related).

The Library is available for browsing and members can borrow from our large collection of books (click for inventory) and equipment.

We have a refreshments bar serving (on a sign-up rota basis) tea, coffee and donated cakes.  Members usually bring a packed lunch.

We generally have a speaker each afternoon – always an expert in their subject area.  Some speakers also run Sunday workshops on their craft.  See our Programme for further information about the variety of crafts-related talks planned for the current year.

We frequently demonstrate our traditional crafts and exhibit our work at various shows and fairs in the county - see the Events  page.
